I was wondering ,why doesn't canon make a 100-400L IS in a 2.8?

I would think three thing:
1) Size
2) Weight
3) Price
Just look at the size of some of their fas fix lenght lenses in the 400mm range.

hmm... Canon EOS - Hubble Adapter... 18.5 Million US Dollars. Cool!!

Hubble AdapterMaybe Kodak would be able to provide the corrective add on lens like it did for the original.

with the 100-400L & after a morning at the Botanical gardens shooting sunbirds, your arms felt like after an intense weight lifting session.
Image a F2.8 IS !!!! I will need a tripot with dolly wheels to move about...

I was wondering ,why doesn't canon make a 100-400L IS in a 2.8? Maybe they already did, just waiting for an official release date in the coming August. :D

Good - if it ever comes out my arms will be ready (very well toned arms)
