Files renamed automatically

I don't know if this is in any way connected with Imagemagick installation,
but suddenly EE renames all files I add to the database.

Did I accidentally turn something on or off? I'd like to keep the original filenames, and cancel this renaming.

Fix for this?

EE always renames files with random prefix, if they are already found in database. You can see in upload page if files are already "in EE".

EE also always renames files if they contain special characters - + : ; ' `´% | " ? ( )& or spaces. This is for easier coding, better URL compatibility, compatibility with shell commands - overall to make things work more reliably.

It also renames and converts .TIFF, .BMP and .PSD files to .JPG (for www compatibility those formats can not be online formats like JPG, GIF and PNG).

Rename actions are reported in messages.

Those features should not be turned off.
