thumnails are more like blind navigation on higher res monitors, while i love flash, many people will be against it from the online photography community.

But it lacks design/interest around the image itself...to me its a rather boring gallery, but thats standing from a design point of view/background.

Interesting concept... with really nice shots!!
Did it take you long to set up?? (done by hand or framework stuff??)

Thanks :) it's all done in Photoshop CS2 I used the automate under the file menu. I'm not to happy about the design. But I don't like that the rest of the page takes away the focus from the images. I'm thinking maybe a light grey background instead.

I did a flash intro trip (http://photo.mythsysint.com/B2/index.html) a couple of years ago.. didn't want to set up my whole gallery with it, just some category images.
(feel free to take a look...)

As for the thumbnails.. well.. I've seen a lot of sites, and sometimes the thumbnails are a bit on the small side, and other times they are ok. yes.. these do look small on my hi res monitors...
but I still like the re-sizing and transitions between images. the magnification of the thumbnails reminds me of the dock on Mac OS X... ;)

Thanks for the input :) Nice intro you have made there :) I still got alot of work in front of me before I will have a new site :) I will try to find a way to resize the thumbnails for what resolution the viewer has.

thanks for the compliment!!
Maybe I'll hook that intro up to my Galleries... and do a dedicated layout for my portfolio...
.. and we ALL have a lot of work in front of us.. even with a site that is online!!
I change / improve (well.. I hope it improves) my site everytime I get inspired.. which can happend many times a day!!

if you look at the rest of my site.. the only flash you'll see is my menu system. I love what you can do with flash... and have tested all kinds of things, but I never ended up using much of it.
Guess I will have to start playing with it again... sometime.. when my camera is broken.. or it is raining.. ;)
