Hey all, just couldnt help myself to say that i finally placed my order for the canon 20d body and lens kit. Ordered the nifty fifty as part of the purchase and will be receiving 7 years warranty on my lens's too

Ive been in and out of the prosumer thread for the last year or so and now finally i guess ill have my hand at the SLR world.

Anticipation of the 20d arrival is killing me....:) noww... lets see.......... USM........ L

Most of my friends who are into cameras at all are very impressed with the 20D when I show them.

If you've read much here about it you will know about the soft issue and the autofocus preferences.

Got mine today, and I am just having the time of my life. The anticipation of the UPS guy coming just killed me. I know your pain. It will be in your hands before you know it and let the good times begin. Ah, those were the days...

Think waiting for it is bad. Try getting it. Playing with it for about an hour. Then having to leave the next morning, with out it for 16 days. Have to travel for work and could not bring it with me.

I am getting my 20D on Monday afternoon (according to the FedEx website. The worst part is that I am selling my DRebel tomorrow so I will be camera-less for the weekend.

I can vouch for the broke part... I purchased my 20D saying... im just gona get a camera.. feeling it was good and thats all i needed. HAHAHAAHHA ya right.. eventually i splurged.. Flashes, lenses, and a hard computer to run it all. OUCH

Hey Nabil,

Congratulations! I am buying tommorow my 2 20d bodies but reading that you bought it with a 7 year warranty I couldn't stay without asking where? how much? before I made my decision and buy it tommorrow in B&H.

I think I can beat that :)

bought it shot about 50 frames and then be too busy to touch it at all, find the time to buy a new lens shoot another 20 or so shots then have the body malfunction!

It's been with canon since :( all in the space of 1 month.

Good news is, that although I bought it overseas they will do the work under warranty and it looks like they know what the problem is :)

I just got my 20D this afternoon. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday but Fed Ex brought it today. My Fed Ex guy asked me if I was upset that it was delivered early! :lol:

I've already taken about 25 shots. Now I need to sit down and look up some things in the book.

My wife is perfectly content with the G6. For now....... ;)
