Continuous Self Timer on XTi?

hey guys,

what i've found isn't promising but i was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to set up a continuous self timer on the XTi. i want to take a bunch of sequence shots of myself drawing on a large canvas to view the progression. i figured if i just set my camera on self timer and then locked my remote, it'd take one shot after 10 seconds and then another, and then another. This didn't happen... unfortunately. Any one know if this is possible? and if so how to do it.

I believe you can do this with a PC connected to the camera. The function you want is called Intervalometer.
