A few comments!!

1) For my liking there isn't much going on in the scene. I am not sure what you want the viewer to notice.

2) The two people in silouette are not large enough if that this the main focal-point. The waves could be interesting but the colour is too washed out.

3) I think a more effective shot would have been to see more movement in either subject or to get a close-up view of your wife's expression or your daughters.

4) The sky should be cropped out because it is really wasted space in the frame.
Just my 2 cents.............

It's interesting as a photo experiment. Kinda like looking through a telescope backward. The emphasis is on the b/g instead of the subject.

Well it definately looks better...I'm not sure I like the subjects centered though?? I'd like to see an off center cropped version w/ the subjects nudged to the left.
