My wife and I just moved to Seattle a few weeks ago. We were visiting West Seattle today. We went to Alki beach and POW-this guy decides to fly right in front of us and perch himself up on this post. So I just happend to have my 20D with my 70-200L in hand. Well, here are the results. Coments welcome, of course.

Wow, the first photo is stunning. I also like how you accentuated the subject by changing the background color. Super sharp too.
Got any more??

In the third shot, is the eagle smoking a cigar?

Nope, I think its a fish or something. He swooped down and got something out of the water then returned there to feast.

Great shots! Welcome to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and it's surrounding beauty! The eagles are becoming regulars around these parts. When and if you decide that you would like to see many more of them, I suggest that you consider a trip to Seabeck, just West of Bremerton. There are dozens in there and they are very active as the tide receeds.
Here is a link to see some in my gallery and since you are now a local, come check out www.nwphotographers.net !

LOL. I would love to sell a copy, but I was an idiot and I was playing around the night before and left the camera in JPG mode instead of RAW. Plus that pic is croped a lot. The biggest pic that I have of it is only 1150X1200. I dont even think it would look good printed. Sorry about that. Let me know if you have any ideas of conversion.
