This photo is certainly not up to the normal quality in this forum but for a grab shot with the kit lens I thought it not too bad. We were on our way to a camp meeting in Chetek Wisconsin last night and this guy was playing in the road as we approached. He ran into the bush and stopped to see what I would do. I was taking pictures and stopped to see what he would do. This is only the second bear I've ever seen in the wild and I was quite pleased to have had the camera with me.

Good shot, it would be great just to see a bear like this let alone get a photo of him :)

I admire your presence of mind. It takes dedication to stand still and get this kind of shot. I'd probably be running in the other direction! :lol: Well done!

Nice capture. The problem with these little black bears is that there is sure to be a mama bear around somewhere.

Now that was really dumb of me. I know that and I never even considered it at the time. Fortunately I was totally surrounded a Toyota RAV4 at the time......:lol:

Thanks for all the comments. It was a memorable moment in our visit with the grandchildren. They were pretty excited about it too. Now for a glimpse of the big cat they say is prowling the area.
