These two photos were taken above 12,000 feet on two Colorado Passes. The first is Cumberland Pass and shows the jeep trail that reaches the top, as well as the small alpine flowers which grow there. The second is Cottonwood Pass, and shows a large volume of snow still present there.

Thanks for your comments. Two years ago I got almost the same photo at Cottonwood Pass, but it required stitching two shots together. Much nicer to get it with a single exposure using the 10-22 mm.

Like both of them a lot !
Both have sort of 3D effect in them :-) colorful, contrasty pictures, especially second one !
