300D v.s. XT ?

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 300D and the XT? I just ordered a book on using the "Canon Digital Rebel EOS" but didn't realize it was for the XT and I happen to have the 300D. I'm wondering, when I get the book, if it will be pretty much the same info as if it were for the 300D, or if I've wasted money or worse, be confusing.

can you return it to the store or website you bought it from ?
the rebel xt is a little different than the rebel..
some info would be the same but some wouldnt be the same.
if i was you i would try and return it and get the right one.
just my opinion though..

agreed, there are some pretty big differances. You'd probably be better off returning the book.
