I went from Newark-Paris-JFK-Newark in 24 hours, 2 planes, one bus ride (from JFK-EWR). lol

Went over on Continental, then connected to get on Air France and their new A380. It caught up with me and I definitely ended up getting a little tired. Usually when I do the quick layovers with my dad we're at least there for 24 hours, not turning right back around ha

We didn't get awesome seats but the purpose was to be on the plane and experience it as a whole.

Check out the rest here: My 24hr Spring Break 2010 Adventure - a set on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/mjl4/sets/72157623613062888/)

This is what my dad flies, and what we were on going to Paris.

This is what we came back on, the A380, holds upwards of 540 pax!

Obviously a different airline but to give an idea of the side profile and all the windows

WAIT.

You took a 24 hour "plane ride" from the US to Paris?

How much did this cost?

(I have trouble finding money for gas to my favorite restaurant...)

Sounds like his dad is a pilot...could have helped.

Any interior shots?

Real nice! It must have been fun getting a ride in the whale, even tho she ain't the purdy-est thing that flies

No no, it was a total of 24 hours from the time we left EWR at 615pm ET on Monday evening, to when we got back from Paris the next day. We landed in JFK at 3pm ET, then by time we caught the bus and rode back to EWR and got to the terminal there it was just after 615pm ET Tuesday.

And yeah, my dad is a pilot for CO, and we picked up the standby tickets at a fairly decent price. Only thing that sucked was AF's policies are different, and we weren't upgradeable when there were LOTS of seats open in business and 6 seats open in first! They said we could have been upgraded ONLY IF economy was full! Oh well.

And yeah click on the link to my Flickr album and there are interior pics there.

Any interior shots? That would be a good guess, except he'd already said, "This is what my dad flies, and what we were on going to Paris." ;)

Thanks! And yes indeed! Even though the majority of people think I'm nuts when I tell them how it all worked out until I tell them the situation with my dad being a pilot and so forth...

Some nice shots in the Flickr set, particularly the cockpit. The A380 is a fantastic plane to travel on. We flew LHR-SIN at christmas, and it has got to be the best flight I've ever had on that route

Indeed. How long was LHR-SIN?

Did you fly Singapore Airlines? They have got to be my favourite!
