They have had the smaller units that work with small DSLR and Point-n-Shoots for a
while, but they are finally releasing one big enouh to handle a DSLR with a decent lens.
Take a look at http:/www.gigapan.org for some
examples from the smaller units.
This wasn't done with the Giga-Pan, but it's something I would love to try.

This isnt much different from the nodal ninja and using something like PT Gui.
