Can anybody give me a lead to where I can buy 13" X 19" frames to take advantage of the larger format prints from the Canon i9900.

That's not a standard size.
If you take a 13x19 print, you will add matting. Standard sizes might be 16x20 and 16x24.

The best source I've found for frames and mat board and foam core board is Light Impressions, www.lightimpressionsdirect.com. Their quality and service is great and the prices are much lower than art supply stores.

You can buy mats with 12x18 openings. That works well with 13x19 paper.

Yes..as indicated by Bob and Barb,.. you want a 16"x24" frame with a matte that has a 12"x18" opening.

A 18x24 frame with a custom cut matte is what I use. I cut the matts my self.

my local photo store has A3+ frames that are designed for "digital prints" the frames are kind of on the cheap side but they do the job... i'll find out the brand is "hakuba" a popular japanese brand of lens filters.

Thanks everybody,
I went to Wolf camera tonight, they have a few nice frames and matting to choose from.
The deal from BH Photo looks good for the i9900

I cut the matts my self. There you go! Why be limited to a standard size when the pic requires a non-standard crop?
Used to be you could get 2 sides of a frame & assemble the off-standard size you needed. Maybe you still can somewhere.

Someone told me Hobby Lobby carries these frame parts if you have one locally - I have not checked it out yet. I have just started cutting my own mats and it is easy. I use a Logan 301 whcih was about $100 and it works great. Now, to finally get some photos on the wall...

lostdoggy, my Canon S9000 doesn't print edgeless so the picture is exactly that size. The edge to edge stuff is a bit newer. You can always cut your own, if that is important to you. I think that is about as big as I want to go right now. However, I am interested in the epson R2400. The final issue is being able to print the whole frame, which 12x18 printing will do for me. I think you have to decide what you like to do best with your images and plan for that. I have a stack of 16x20 mats with 12x18 openings, but want to look into cutting mats to fit the special cuts I want to do. Although I like to do a lit of square sizes - 8x8, 10x10, etc. I guess I may need to learn to cut mats well.

Yes,. even with the i9100 borderless printing.. on large prints I allways leave a border if I am going to frame.. whcih I allways am..
To me borderless is only usefull for photoalbum type stuff...
When matting or framing you really want a border so your not cutting off the actual image under the matt..
