As always, shot with my 400D and the 55-250.

Feedback welcome, and actively encouraged.

Thanks for the kind comments. I took a lot of images, most were rubbish. I'm pretty rusty - the last motorsport I did was last August!

It seems as though there were a few us from here. Shame I don't know what anyone looks like, else I'd have said hello. I was the one in the big blue fleece with my wife in a multi coloured bobble hat - it was pretty cold!

Some are cropped slightly, some are not - not sure which off the top of my head. All have been sharpened slightly (as I shoot raw) and have had the saturation and levels tweaked a little.

The 55-250 is a nice little lens, especially for the money. I'm really pleased with mine. Only downside is that it can be a bit short for motorsport at some tracks.

Cheers and agree on the price for the lens was looking at the 70-300 IS as reach was one of my concerns at other circuits but its another £200 which is a lot plus the 55-250 will make a great travel lense so rather practice practice practice at motorsport with this lens then maybe grade up plus the spare £200 can go towards Le-Mans :D

I've got the same idea about practicing with this lens. If I can get images I'm happy with with this one, then when I upgrade I should (hopefully!) be able to get some real crackers.

How did you get in the pits? I assumed they were out of bounds. I did wander down to the paddock a for a bit but didn't even try the pits.

Do you follow Britcar specifically? If so, will you be going to Snetterton in a few weeks?
