Just an experiment, really. I like it (I think!).
What do people think? Is it cliched?

Tim,

Nice shot but on its own I have to say its a bit dull. What would make it work I think would be to group it with other similar shots (ie water based) but different perspectives/compositions. Or other similarly abstract images (clouds in sky etc).

I agree with the above, I like shots like this too (I've taken several myself). To me it would be better to have something else within the picture to reference it to. Just my opinion though.

To me it would be better to have something else within the picture Me, too. Weeds? A duck? (OK, overdone.). Something flying through? Etc. ;-)

Yeah, or maybe a submarine periscope?
