well considering no flash no much to CC here... but ithink there should be more contrast

Was the stage darker than it appears in these shots? The typical problem with concert photography is that your camera wants to expose everything to 18% gray when there's a lot of black. Set manual underexposure in order to get images that depict the actual perception. Your histogram should be over on the left side with perhaps a peak on the right if there's a stage light in the shot. #2 should be a complete silhouette as the lights all appear to be behind the performer.

They look a little soft to me, but I like the lighting in the first one. I've only shot at one venue, where the lighting is crap, so I've been forced to shoot BW when I am there. Perhaps if I had more skill I could shoot color and adjust in PS after, but these were just shots for friends so they were more than happy with BW.
