My first post. Headed through Denali National Park on the George Parks Hwy. Saw the rain on the left and the sun on the right and knew there must be a rainbow somewhere. When I first saw it, it was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen but by the time I pulled over it had faded somwhat. Heard the train whistle and couldn't believe my luck. Probably should crop out the road. Any other tips?
Canon 20D, 17-40mm, ISO 200, probably 8.0 @ 1/125

Welcome to the forum Rich!
I like the composition. I think the resize/compression has distorted your beautiful picture.

With the word "Alaska" on the train it makes me wonder if this is a new gold rush. I guess they want to be the first to know if there's a pot pot of it at the end of the rainbow!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. With that encouragement I'll be posting more.
cfcrebel - it does look distorted doesn't it. Suppose I'll eventually learn how to compress and post the right way.
Thanks again.

Great capture. Yes, I'd crop the road out of this one, it doesn't add value. Getting the train in was a stroke of genius.

Maureen Souza - I didn't see the double rainbow until I put it up on the computer. Thanks for the comments
Sparker1 - not a stroke of genius, just pure dumb luck. Doing 65mph on the highway, rainbow pops up, find a place to pull over on other side of railroad tracks, shoot a couple, and then the warning bells go off. Just lucky...lol Thanks much for the comments.
