I'm working with one of my brides (well, perspective brides) who is going on a cruise, and getting married in a port of call somewhere in the blue waters of the Caribbean. Then, doing the reception and everything else back home.
I'm meeting with her in a couple days, and I'm wondering which angle to take the discussion, since this is a new one on me.
I'm a "finished product is everything" kind of guy, so the final prints, the album,the parent books -- that's what I'm focused on, so I'm looking to make sure I get all of the materials for inclusion and one-stop-shopping for the couple.
I know there's no travel budget to send me down, so that's out of the question.
With regards to the Caribbean portion, Do I:
-> offer to broker a deal and shop the photographer for her, work out in advance with the guy that he'll be sending me the CR2/DNG files, and essentially just sub it out as work for hire?
-> tell her what she needs to ask for, in terms of getting the images on disk, so that I can include them in the album / available for prints?
-> Something else?
Please advise... I'm sure there are capable folks in the islands that do nice work. But, they're not here, and if she has a problem, I'm local, and can cover all of the post processing, album work, etc.
