Hi, what would be a good messenger-type shoulder bag that could hold a gripped Xsi comfortably? Along with a couple of lenses, flash, the usual.
I like the styling of the Lowepro messenger bag, but not sure if it'll be big enough.
Thanks in advance.

Ive got that and like it quite a bit. Usually I have my gripped 30D with 70-200 attached in the back, along with my gripped xti with one of my other lenses attached, 2 more lenses, and 580ex 2.

Which messenger bag are you looking at?
The 7mdh worked for my gripped xsi, you can also try the classified 250aw.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think that's a little too big for me right now, I'm just starting out. I have no doubt that gear will expand to fill the bag, but probably not any time soon.
I have the Tamrac explorer 1 bag right now, perfect with my xsi, kit lens, the 50mm 1.8, flash and odds and ends, but with the grip the camera is too fat and won't fit.

This was what I was looking at, cheap but wasn't sure about the size.
The crumpler 7mdh would be perfect but it's a lot more than what I'm willing to spend. I know about the versa copy but red is the only available color right now it seems.

I remember reading that the exchange doesn't really have much padding in it, but I could be wrong.
The versa is nice, I have one in brown/green, good bag for the price.

I have a Lowepro Slingshot 200 and like it quite a bit. It fits my gripped XSi mounted with a Canon 55-250, the kit lens and the Canon 50 with no problem. Extra pockets for keys and whatever my wife decides she doesn't want to carry anymore. It's sort of a messenger style.

I've got a Crumpler 7 Million Dollar for my gripped XSi. I keep the 24-70L attached in the bag, it fits perfectly facing lens-down with the hood on. The bag also fits my 70-200 f4 IS (reversed hood or hood on, both fit well), 85 f1.8 (hood on), 50 f1.8 (no hood), 18-55 kit lens (no hood) and a 430EXII flash all in the main compartment. Nice and snug, not too tight and not too loose.

Dude, that 70-200 f2.8 is longer then the padded case lol let alone the camera on it :P
My versa can handle a 70-200 f4 with a 7D attached (although I don't think you can Velcro it shut).
