Sunshine in Amsterdam

I like the repetition of blue in the windows, jacket and cars. I think it would be nice if the blue was repeated in the sky, but we have to take what nature gives us.

Actually Mitch, putting in a pale graduated sky would be
quite easy, as you know.
By the way, did you notice the posts sticking out of the
buildings high up ?
Henk can correct me but when I was in Amsterdam I was told that
they are for hoisting furniture to upstairs apartments.
Or down again.
Easier than lugging it up narrow stairways.

PS the picture works well with the sky and top floors
cropped off.

It looks good too, and more focused on the man and blue car and windows
when cropped to just above the gutter level of the
left hand building with red-tiled roof. :-)

Thanks gents. The sky was a little over-exposed. DIdn't have much time to take the shot. Might crop a little more as suggested.

And yes, they use those poles to hoist up anything that can't go through the stairs. A lot of stairs are 3-4 feet wide!

I seemed to remember asking about those posts on the building
years ago when I was in Amsterday.

I can't quite make it out, but would expect that there is
a canal between the bench and the car ???

It's an attractive scene. A far cry from Dubai I imagine.
