i am looking for some sort of storage divice that can also be used as a viewer. is anyone familiar with the units available?
i am interested in the ARCHOS GMINI 400 but reall know nothing about it.

does anyone have info/opinions on this divice?
i am not stuck on this particular divice, but would like something that offers most of its features.
its primary use would be storage, but i like the idea of being able to share the pics.
any information on storage divices/viewers would be appreciated.

thanks for the tip.
it looks like a nice player, but is well up there in cost. are there others out there?
cost isnt so much the issue as features for cost.

I would have loved to buy the p2000, but it was over my budget by a pretty good way. I chose the Flashtrax XT 40Gb as a relatively close second. Admittedly, it hasn't got the resolution of the epson, but it will show .crw files on the screen which doesn't happen on many of the PSD's on the market. I've only used it in anger for a couple of outings, but I'm pretty happy with the results so far.

are there any reviews on the flashtrax unit?
this looks interesting. 80 gig for 400 bucks. mp3, video, and pictures.
it says "some raw" files are viewable. not so sure i like this comment.
is anyone familiar with this one, and have some feedback?

i saw this post after responding to the other.
what do you mean used it in anger?
something like this is a fair investment. i'd like to get something that i wont have to be pissed off about every time i take it out of the case. LOL

I just meant that I'd used it more than just playing around at home. In my case, I've been to a couple of airshows, putting a couple of gig on it each time. I'll know a lot more about it after this week. I'm going away for 6 days to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford. UK. If last year is anything to go by, I took about 1500 photos in that time. This year, I've got a 300d, and will be using RAW all the way...
