Has anyone worked with beta Acdsee 12? [Archive] - Canon Digital Photography Forums

I am thinking about using this along with my new Canon 8800f to scan negative/slide/pictures and archive them for family members. I have gone to their site and only pre-orders for it and they don't tell me that much. I am newbie at this and want to know if it will fit my needs before I order it.
If you have worked with it I would like to ask you specific questions to see if this is the one I should pre-order. Thanks

After learning Acdsee is not currently supporting Win7 and the preorders for 12 do not disclose enough about the new features, nor do they have sale staff online but rather a call center contracted to take orders. So many are unhappy about the lack of support the company provides. They are so behind the eight ball on this and I am not willing to go through all the bug issue they are likely to have after 12's release. I am looking again at PSE 8.0 unless I can find something better
