First Post...First HS Baseball Pics of 2010

My first time posting on POTN...C&C welcome. This was our first HS baseball game of 2010...lighting was tough...clouds...sunny...clouds..repeat.

We hear it all the time - shoot tight, crop tighter.
Ball, face, action - the second pic doesn't have all three and lots of background clutter.

I made a quick edit of the first pic. Hope you don't mind.

# is nice but needs to be cropped to highlight player only. Shoot tight, crop tighter.

#2 - No face, cluttered and busy background = delete

Try and shoot batters when they come out of swing and follow ball to get goo facial reactions. If you are trying for "bat on ball" maybe try from open side of batter to try and get his face in there.

Definitely shoot the pitchers in portrait mode. Same can be said for hitters, I guess. You'll get less in the BG, too.

Good timing on your pitcher shot with ball right at release point. He has a good motion as well.
