smugmug for me.
I also have a flickr's free account and it's worth what I paid for IMO.

I use flickr, have done for over a year now. It is very quick and easy to use. My gallery is in my sig below.

I use both flickr and zenfolio.

flickr is for sharing full resolution images with my extended family and my friends.

Zenfolio is for my commercial work.

I used flickr before but when my free "pro" account was up (provided by my cable company) I switched to Zenfolio and it was well worth it. Flickr is more for social networking (which I don't care about) Zenfolio/Smugmug is more for setting up nice looking galleries with alot more features.

I only use flickr. For there are other websites as well and I think if you will do a quick google search you will other similar websites too. But I found flickr to be the best in my opinion....

I've been on Smugmug for several years and I love it.

I've never been enamored of the user interface on the free flickr accounts. I'd rather pay for something a bit more professional looking.

I love flickr, but plan on using Zenfolio in addition fairly soon.

I'm fairly simple minded. I use Flickr I guess because I found it first and it seemed to be just fine. I don't much use the "social networking" someone mentioned, and I don't care.

Flickr is more for dumping pictures and connecting with other people. Problem is the layout and interface are infuriating...but there's no real competitor, except maybe Photobucket.

I got a free photobucket pro unlimited account because I bought flowers online for the wife. So I won out on two accounts. I'm not a pro so I don't need a lot of features, just storage.

It all depends on what you want to spend. Smugmug and some of the others are more pricey than flickr or photobucket, but most likely better with more features.

Flickr bugs the crap out of me. The wife started with the free account and put over 200 pics on it. The max for the freebie. She panicked when she couldn't see some of the pictures when she went over 200. That's what they wanted her to do. She bought a two year pro account. She has to keep reregistering the damn account to see all of her pictures. Every time she logs in again it tells her to enter her pro account number again to see everything. Of course their tech support is non existent. It has no solution and keeps telling her that she hasnt' registered.

We gave up on it.

I really like Flickr for what it is. It's very good to use for inspiration. The sheer number of pictures on there is staggering. Whenever I'm stuck for an idea I always just type random words into Flickr.

I find picasaweb to be have a much nicer interface than flickr. Try it out :) ( You don't need to use picasa to use the web gallery, you only need a gmail account)

I use Flickr. I highly recommended it over anything. I also tried Smugmug but I don't need the gallery type since I already have a website. Flickr has everything I need.

I use flickr a lot - have around 21000 photos on there. Apart from the community aspects which I enjoy, I get a fair number of paying enquiries from people perusing the photos. I use flickr as a date index to my own pictures which are in date folders. For direct print selling I use Smugmug and photobox (UK). As is usual depends on what you want to gallery for.

Doesn't flickr pro account allow pro users to have the original uploaded file available to the public. Wouldn't that be a bad thing in case someone would copy your images if it wasn't watermarked or signatured since people can just download the original file and distributed it despite the copyright laws.

i got apporoached from VisitSriLanka.com wanting to buy an image of a Credit Card i did with a shallow DOF. I ended up settling for £100.

i doubt anything would of happened if I was on another site.
(Note: Image of card on another Flickr account)

I do this too. I try to do one random word a day on flickr to see something that inspires me. I use Flickr, eventually I will just host my own but flickr's so cheap for a year I have a hard time leaving.

You can turn that off.

I use Flickr and am currently looking for something more professional to eventually (hopefully) sell my work.

I have a Flickr Pro account. I'm in no ways a pro but i do like being able to protect my images from being downloaded. I've been looking into Zenfolio.com. I think they will be my next move.
