Facebook Fan page question

ok - 1st let me say, I'm not asking this to fish for people to join my page. (Which is why I'm asking a group full of photographers - not friends in facebook) ;)

I was monitoring my son's facebook page tonight and I hit my page to see how it looks a 'fans' end.

When I hit it, it brought me back to his news feeds. (On MY f/b account, I see my fan page just fine... no problems.)

So when my husband got home from work, I asked him to hit my page to see if it comes up or not... (he has only 5 pages fanned) so he goes to his profile and it shows he's only a fan of 4 pages- mine's not included. So he starts typing in my name (in search) and my group page is the only thing that comes up (which isn't what I want people directed to because that page is almost never updated... there's only 22 members on that one - opposed to almost 200 members in my fan page (that I update often))

So when I accessed my account again, I jumped on my husbands profile page, and there I am (and it shows all 5 pages he belongs to).

While I was on, I IM'ed a friend of mine (who's also a member of my fan page) to hit my page and see what comes up... she said a bunch of things come up; even some musician's page - but not mine.



So has anyone experienced this and knows how to fix it??

I'm wondering since no one on here is a fan of my page, or is on my friends list, if anyone would take the time to go on facebook and type in my fan page and see if anything comes up.

The profile picture is of a girl in a cowboy hat (slightly silhouetted) in a door frame.

I did not see aNY fan page with your name. I would suggest to delete the group page and then recreate your fan page

Thanks Stillinamerica!! Yes, that's the group page that I'll be deleting soon! Thanks for checking! I reported the problem to facebook! Hopefully it'll be fixed soon!

My experience with Facebook is that it's been unreliable for stuff like this in general the last few months. When simply reading my wall I can refresh 3 times and get 3 different results regarding what shows and what doesn't. Friends of mine tell me the same thing.

You want your "Fan Page" to be a "Page" not a "Group".

Fan pages have updates to Fans built-in, groups do not.

My original fan page is still not working, so I just created another fan page!

Same name, but added in bracket that this is my back up page blah blah blah! ;)
