How to add name in files?

When you go to preferences in your photo files (eg. jpg) you see a box where it says copywrite, or name. I was wondering, there must be a way of adding this to your camera so that every time I take a picture, it saves my name as the photografer in the file?

I've checked my cameras option menu but found nothing. I have a EOS 500D.

should be in the software you have that came with the camera. You can also use LR to add that data when you export (option I do)

in the toolbox of EOS Utility software that came with the camera.

There are many other threads asking this - search for them and you'll see the screen shot I posted of the menu.

Thanks for the help. I think I searched the forums before posting, but obviously not good enough because I found it now :)
