Just upgrade OS to Windows 7 and couldn't connect G10 to PC. At first, it shows no driver avaliable. I couldn't find any driver from Canon website.
After connect G10 to Windows 7, no popup shows up and can not see device from my computer.
Any idea?
Thanks

Hi,
I'm guessing you're trying to connect via USB. If so, your USB controller's driver might need an update.
Go to device manager and see that nothing shows a yellow triangle with an exclamation point.
(to go to device manager, click on the start/windows button > type "device manager" > click on "device manager")
If there are any exclamation yellow triangles, it means something's wrong. most likely diver issues. I think you might need to upgrade all of your hardware's drivers. who knows, you might even need to flash the bios.
But... before we get into that, can you please provide this information:
What's your computer? Brand name, and model number.
What operating system did you use before? XP or Vista?
If you built the computer yourself, what's the motherboard brand name, model number, and revision number?
Are the usb ports you are trying to use part of the motherboard, or an add-on card? if an add-on, what's the brand, model number?
it shouldn't be a hard fix, as long as the correct information is known.
cheers.

Thanks your reply. From device manager, everything is clear. No yellow triangles.
I bought this Thinkpad T60, 2613HKU, three years ago. I was able to connect to G10 in xp and vista without issue.
From Canon website, I don't say there have any driver need for Windows 7.

hmm... i think you might need ThinkVantage System Update 4.0. link (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=TVSU-UPDATE)
Be sure to read the readme file!

hmm.... did you go through all the updates through thinkvantage? it's a program that makes it easier to update other programs (e.g. motherboard drivers).
specifically, did you do this:
1. Click Start, then click Start Search.
2. Type systemupdate40-2009-10-19.exe in the search field, then click Search Everywhere. This will locate the file you just downloaded.
3. Double-click the systemupdate40-2009-10-19.exe icon. You may see a dialog stating "A program needs your permission to continue". If you see this dialog, click Continue.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
5. ThinkVantage System Update will start automatically after installation is complete.
