Super images! The first one is truly fabulous. It is a testament to the 400/5.6 and it's abilty to grab intense details. Well done!

Very nice indeed. Were you using a tripod? Hand held at that focal length and shutter speed would be something else..

Very nice indeed. Were you using a tripod? Hand held at that focal length and shutter speed would be something else..Yes I used a tripod with a ball head loosely tightened so that I can rotate and frame the shot but still have stability.

i too have to say wow,and double wow.these are the best squirrel shots i have ever seen
also.the first one really does it for me,because it shows detail in the tail too.

Very nice work indeed ... how far away was that little critter at the time?Hi Condyk ... about 5 metres. Perilously close to the 3.5m minimum focus distance of the lens.
