He said he had one....

I have one for sale! what is your price though???

There's one for 400shipped/paypaled on FredMiranda but I can't register until next week. They don't allow free email account to register (my gmail). And I can't Accra my coast guard email till next week so something close to that price.

Ill so mine for that price with shipping, you can pick it up local or I can send it to you. Where you located?
is it the usm version? Got any pics? What comes with it? Will you do better than 400 I'll paypal as gift and save the fees.

I just advice we go through ebay first.

Not to say your sketchy...but just to be cautious I would like a photo of the lens with a piece of paper with something written on it to legitimatize it. You just joined and have 1 post. No feedback and your across the country: you want to use eBay but that means you would need to pay fees so it doesn't make sense.
No problem.

Photoshopped, or not, there's plenty of 100 macros to be had, I'd pass on this one. It's not worth taking a chance any more. These pm's from brand new members is one of the reasons that I think that Marketplace section of the forum should be locked down from even viewing until the member has met the 30-30 requirement.

Edit: should have read your link. Looks like Pekka came to the rescue.

I now agree with this. When I was new I did not BUT.....I purchased a grip from a "KevinPerkens" last PM and today he is banned. I recieved a shipping confirmation through PayPal but it means nothing because that can be made up.

He sent a PM today telling me he had shipped it but this evening when I went to reply, I discovered the ban. A review of thread involvement on his behalf since my purchase revealed BS on his part since I bought the grip.

I have already filed a report on PayPal, POTN, and through my method of payment.

How do we as honest POTN members address this so the B & S section of an otherwise great forum does not suffer and cost us our abilty to exchange items freely?????

After a thorough investigation it was determined that mrwayne and KevinPerkins were the same person and both identities were banned. We take the use of multiple identities to be a serious breach of the rules and have dealt with it accordingly.

Any time that a member believes that he has been scammed he should PRIVATELY contact a moderator supplying all the pertinent information, then give us time to deal with it.

All you can do is to report post if you think something is wrong. As we say in Marketplace rules, POTN does not take any part in any transactions or deals. We do ban proven scammers and even suspected ones (like in this case both are in very high probability the same person hence the bans) and we often have contacted people who I see have had PM mailshot with proven scammers.

The ball is in you court when you get involved in buying and selling on the internet. Do your homework and skip the deal if you do not have all the info. If sales talk sounds too good the alarm should sound in your head. Use common sense, be suspicious of people with no posting history or who only hang in marketplace area. We have lots of threads about how to deal safer discussion here.
