This is my daughter Taylah's choir group. This is them performing at the Fremantle Arts Festival a few weeks ago. Not a fantastic shot, as I was so far away, but I was just so proud of them all, so thought I would share it. She is in the front row, third from the right.

What do they celebrate at the Fremantle Arts Festival?

It's like a singing and dancing festival between all the local high schools and primary schools. They all compete against each other. No winners tho, Its all fun for the kids, so they dont choose winners. But they are all sooooo competitive!!

skade: that sounds like fun.
recently, i shot my son's fifth grade commencement ceremony. i don't have any accessories for my camera-i only have the 300d kit. i saw more experienced people set up fully with tripods and external flashes. the only thing i managed to get was a good seat in center. lighting was so poor not to mention my poor camera set up.

this is the only thing i felt that could be done to salvage this pictures. here's a peek. hope you don't mind. i can take down if you wish.

I know what you mean about the lighting,I had the same problem. Wow, that sure is a huge group of kids!! As long as they enjoy it, thats all that matters. Thanks for showing me!
