Hello all I got my epson 2200 and was wondering how do most of you get the printer to print what you see on your moniton? It seem like I have to keep lighting up the prints on the screen to get them to look normal. Or they often look dark When printed. They look ok on the screen. I have every thing set to "SRGB" on my computer system. I am trying to not waist so much paper and Ink. Also any one know were you can get the best price on ink and paper. This printer loves light Magenta and Light Cyan. But so far the lab has not seen me for any 11X14 work this printer is fabulous. Thanks and have a great day

1. Calibrated Monitor.
2. Use Epson supplied profiles for the paper you are using. (Be sure to check no color management on the advanced tab or you will get the dreaded magenta color shift). Read the manual about creating and using custom profiles. It applies as well to the Epson supplied profiles.
3. A good source for Epson 2200 supplies is www.atlex.com

Hi:
Is your monitor calibrated. I was having similar issues until everything was calibrated. I used Monaco EZ color 2.5 software and spyder. It works great.
Also my settings are Adobe RGB 98, as recommended in a recent Photoshop 7 release book and they recommended the same settings at a course I recently took on photoshop 7 for photographers sponsored by Apple Canada.
Good luck, it is a super printer.

Forgot to mention sRGB is for web presentation. You will get better results using Adobe RGB.

I have just gotten the 2200 and a 10d - using raw conversions and the Adobe 1998 Color Space . This seems to be workflow that is most favorabile to
this combimation.
I am still experimentiming and am looking for other suggestions to a workflow for this combimation, I am using the spider to calibrate my monitor. Any suggestions are appreictied.
I am using the new matte paper and "black"matte print catridge - any other tips?
JohnM I kmow how to "o it in the dark' but full digital is a new deal!
