I don't know if it is a typo, but the Dell site has a Epson Stylus Photo 820 inkjet printer listed at $99.95 with a $99.00 mail in rebate. I've seen picture printed with this same model and they look awesome.

The $99 rebate from Espon is good if you buy the Espon 820 AND an Olympus C-4000 digital camera.

If you are not planning on printing directly from your CF card or camera, take a look at the Canon S820. Dell has them for $129, and I bet you could find it cheaper elsewhere.
It'll print a 8x10 at the highest quality in under 120 seconds. I print photos that look as good as anything you can get from a lab.

Agreed! I replaced a Canon 8200 with an i950 and all I can say is WOW. 8x10's from my G1 printed on the i950 are nothing short of stunning.

Have printed literally hundreds of 4X6 & 8X11's over the past 4-5 months...couldn't be happier with it..just use Canon paper and Canon ink cartridges ..

I am using the G3 and I just received the Canon i950 today. It is hard to describe the quality of the prints that I am getting from this printer. You cannot see any pixelation, lines or gaps in the colorization. Even looking up very close and from different angles, you just see smooth covering of color.
I would not hesitate in recommending this printer and I would also say that you would be hard pressed to pick these photos out from any lab work.
And to think I almost spent $700 on an Epson 2200. The Epson printer may be excellent as well, but the $232 Canon i950 addresses my needs.
If I need extremley high quality, I can just upload to a commercial lab for prints, such as Millers labs or some other one......
In short, buy the Canon...Oh yea, you will not even know its printing--whisper quiet

The Canon ink is so expensive!! Does everyone here use the Canon ink or the 3rd party compatible ink? If 3rd party, from who, and what are your quality results when still using the Canon paper?

Hi, astro!
I've got Canon i950. Very good, just only one thing - you cannot print tabloid format, letter size is the biggest one.
If it is not important, buy i950. If you need bigger size, wait until Canon will release Canon i9100 at the end of May. But i9100 should be more expensive. You can check the price at amazon.com, they already started to accept an orders.
