went for a burn thru the black forest with a black mustang in search of inspiring locations.. and went thru a couple of gigs of pics... (good thing I took the PowerBook with me)

couldn't decide which pics to work on .. been at it for a long time... so here are a couple of shots, just so I can go to sleep.

Awesome pics!! I love to take pics of cars. I can't wait until my 350D arrives. I'm still using my sony cybershot. It's driving me nuts. Only a few more days and I'll be a DSLR owner!!!

I was kind of hanging out the window with my camera for #1...
the Driver / owner loves it...
... and have fun with the 350. when you get it... you probably won't want to put it down.

I think the first shot is one of my favorites from the whole day!!!

.. and it does kind of look like it is moving... maybe i'll make one of those funky animated gif's out of it..

We did have some difficulty trying to figure out whether we were having more fun taking pics, or driving around looking for locations!

... that was exactly what I had in mind when you first mentioned taking the Mustang to the country road :D

hehe.. I used to burn with My mustang down this road between Baden Baden and Forbach almost EVERY DAY years ago... and it was unbelievable to be back on the same road with a new generation Mustang.

did you look at the gallery?? I only have a few pics in there.. because I have too much work to do before I can filter thru the rest of the 290 pics I did on Saturday. (will do that soon.. and will also print some A3 big pics for in front of my desk...)

thanks!! if you look at the first shot in the gallery.. that was the prep for the photo mission..
plenty of water, soap, wash cloths, wax, and lots of elbow grease!! 8)

(and besides that .. the car only has 5000 kliks on it)

oh.. forgot to mention.. maybe some of you have heard about the Tour de France... yes.. those slightly out of sync people on bikes that ride up and down the mountains.
The pic here with the funky colored writing on the road was taken where these guys just burned thru on Friday. I have another pic where the fans cut a message into the deep grass on the hill.
Just for all you sports fans... ;)

and Medic.. (me and My mustang visited my home town London very often. )
and Frank... (worked hard on the gallery!!)

I just printed this shot.. A3.. and it looks like I peeled it of the monitor!

did one test print.. chose the Epson Photo 1270 + Premium Glossy Photo Paper color profile, which was different from the sRGB profile PS was using, and it didn't work, so I set the printer to the same PS profile, and it looks great!! (reference to the discussion about printing color profiles and stuff..)
