Hi all. I haven't recieved my camera yet, but I love to take automotive pics. I already take plenty with my point and shoot. And my friend has a new camcorder. We get pretty good pics and video with our cams in hand. But, we really want a mount for when the car is moving. Can anyone suggest a mount that can go just about anywhere on the car, and hold on for the ride?? Sticking my hand out the window just ain't cutting it anymore. Especially, once I get my 350D. And my friend doesn't like the idea of holding is $2k camcorder out the window of a moving car.

If I am shooting from a car I just use a beanbag. I can throw it on the window sill, on top of the car, or even on the hood. You can buy beanbags but I made mine out of a pillowcase filled with rags.

I've also been looking at window mounts, but my use is for bird photography so the car will be stationary.

Sticky Pod or Stickypod. HIGHLY popular in the automotive field and tested. check out their website. I wanna get one, but have to prioritze in other camera gear.
you can mount it on the window - inside and out and anywhere outside of the car. It'll support up to 25 lbs and has a tether and also comes with extender attachments. Not a bad price for all too.
