The wolf shot second to last had a HUGE controversy over it. From what i understood about my limited reading on the subject. The photographer staged the shot, and the wolf was tame and trained to jump. But was marketed as "A heck of a lucky wild shot."

Well that's dumb. Cheating in photography is frowned upon from me.

Yeah, the photo won a Wildlife photographer of the year competition, but was later disqualified. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8470962.stm
The competition actually allowed for tame animals to be featured, but only if it was clearly stated — and the photographer in this case still claims that it's a wild wolf.

The leopard and the yellow-shafted flicker photos are my favorites of the set. But all the photos are pretty amazing.

I cant believe i didnt notice that, its an iguana.
Its kinda weird We are finding flaws in the photos.
I can get some of those shots in my backyard and with my pets.
I wonder why they selected those for "stunning"
The Butterfly is good, but wonder if that would be that hard to fake...

Yeah, mine just blocked it for the same reason.
I am sure I looked at it when this thread was first started, with no such problem, so it looks like it's a more recent issue with the site.
