Well as some of you know, I just got my DRebel on Wednesday! I haven't really had time to play with it until tonight but I'm learning!

Here's a picture I took outside. I know the straight on headlight is distracting, but what else would you guys suggest I do next time? Should I not shoot cars head on when going for these car light trails?

I'm open to all suggestions!

I really like it. Every time I try something like that it's garbage.

I like the composition with the sky and house and background... but that blaring light in the middle is a bit distracting.

I quite like it... maybe try a slightly faster shutter speed to cut down the amount of light from the cars.

Where do you live? Looks nice.

Try taking rear light trails, they don't overwelm (and cause so many hot spots) as front light trails.
Also, as the variable light can confuse exposure, bracket like anything to try and get the optimum exposure.

Good luck.
