View Full Version : Statue - Mono vs Colour - Opinions?

So, think I posted this originally as a mono version, and did post this comparison query in photo-sharing but realise now that that was the wrong place (mods feel free to delete the original), actually I can't remember if I did post this set to POTN, but I did play with a colour version which I've now tweaked.

Personally I like both, maybe edging towards the mono as it's more contrasty but what does everyone else think? Mono or Colour?

The statue itself is in Prague Nove Mestro, in the courtyard of the Church of our Lady of the Snows. 40D + 24-105mm F/4 @ 1/50s | F/4 | ISO 100 | 98mm

you could combine them and have the best of both worlds.

Good idea ninext - that one had completely flown over me. Must start using Pshop more instead of just Lightroom.

Colour for me. It got more details. This is a great pic of an ad.

Both work well, as for which though it all depends on the mood you wish to convey.
