Ok here goes nothing. This is my first post here. I will try to attach a candid of my neice that I took yesterday with available evening light. Please coment and tell me what I could have done to capture this moment a little better, the only thing I edited was the file size.

Why did my picture show up so small. I resized because the file was too large, but compared to other pics on this site, this is tiny

This is a great shot as is.
It has a very strange feel to it. Almost as though, it is studio lit with a painted backdrop. Very nice.

framing:
when you're capturing such image, you have to define what it is that you're trying to capture, and frame it accordingly.
there are many interesting thing about this photo.
- her facial expression
- her belly sticking out
- color tone / contrast
- the chair and her posture/position.
what seems to capture me the most about this shot is her eyes.
she's starring at something intensely.
i would've gone with that and used landscape instead of portrait...
and given some room for her view.
what was she starring at anyhow? anything interesting?
of course, all this is just one man's opinion.
i hope you find yours. :)
