Just wondering which you guys/gals find to be better suited for macro photography. I need some help making up my mind. Thx.

I'd go for the Canon if I wasn't so tight fisted  I think there is nothing between the two optically from when I researched options. I went with the Sigma 105mm, but you will be happy with either I suspect. The extending barrel on the 105mm may be an issue for some, but only if you AF for Macro (some people do that) I tend to focus by moving the set lens forward or back from the subject.
I would also choose the 150mm Sigma over them both if I was more serious about Macro.
There are lots of recent threads on options. Do a search if you haven't already.

I'll second everything Condy has said. I think the AF on my 105mm still works, it's been months since I actually used it. MF in macro is virtually mandatory.
Repeat after me, I will not spend yet more money on the Sigma 150mm...:)

The Sigma 105mm is a great lens, optically the equal of the Canon. I never use AF when doing macro work so the superior AF of the Canon is not an issue for me however some users swear by it, but you'll have to pay a premium for it.
I've posted a shot I took of a grasshopper this afternoon in the Macro forum which was taken with the Sigma if you want to see an example of how it performs. The shot was manually focussed.
