those photos look great.
What kind of lens did you use ?

What setting did you use on your camera ? I very curious.

inside the big jumper i used my 24-70 2.8 ... i used shutter priority with at least 1/400 to try to keep. ISO was set on auto

other times i used my 85mm 1.2 ii.... that was used in av mode usually between 1.2-2.0. ISO again on auto

also with metering i used not center dot but the center circle.

when ISO set to auto doesn't it only go up to 400? Correct me if I am wrong because I just got my 5D and haven't read the full manual yet.

The last one could have been a great shot if for three reasons:

1) you cut her elbow out... perhaps shoot a little wider and crop later... you have plenty pixels for that ;-)

2) The Auto ISO failed in this case. ISO 125 was not enough to capture her movement (1/100s) and you got motion blur as a result. ISO 400 would have been much better giving something like 1/360s.

EXIF Summary: 1/100s f/1.2 ISO125 85mm

3) f/1.2 was too thin I think... her back eye seems OOF.

yeah.. this was my first event with the new 85mm.. i need some practice with it. I was trying to get some WOW shots.. showing off the new glass.. it focused real slow and was hard to get moving kids

Its hard to keep a toddler in focus at 1.2 lol I tried to keep it at 1.2 or 2.0 because there were so many people there that i separate the background people from the kids i shot

i need to figure out the shutter speed to stop the blur... i have some other shots that i liked that looked fine in the lcd but on the screen obviously could have used a higher setting.

like this one.. way to slow with the focus

i get scared of high ISOs.. but i guess noise is better than blur.. you can fix noise but not blur.

heres a few more i liked

I like #2 and #3 of your next set of pics. #1 seems like you nailed her ears quite sharply!

they all go up to 3200. It's fixed at 400 when shoot in M mode or flash.
