I took this shot of Slater Bridge over the river Brathay in the Little Langdale Valley ( English Lake District ) just as the sun was rising.

All comment and critique welcomed.

Thanks Trevor,
We had a nice time and the weather was great apart from Monday and Tuesday.

I like this spot in Little Langdale. I tried to take some shots last year of the bridge but the lighting was all wrong ( sun was too high ).

Best regards,
Cameron.

Beautiful, it is almost fairytale like, when I really looked at it I felt as if I was in the Shire, with the little hobbits. Anyway great pic, nice work.................Joe

All it needs now is a message and address on the back, along with proper postage, and you can send it on. Very nice picture.

Is it intentionally a touch soft? Assuming you used the 17-40L. Either way it's one of the best I've seen here on POTN Cameron, looks like you've captured the area beautifully.

Thanks for all the kind words guys, it's much appreciated.

When you say soft do you mean the reeds in the foreground or the flowing river ?
The exposure was .4 sec to smooth the water slightly which might also account for small movement in the reeds.
The background seems sharp enough to me, though I didn't use any USM. Didn't think it needed it.

BTW Jake, thanks for that very nice compliment you made.

Thanks John.

I know you like hillwalking and as you were at Ullswater did you give Helvellyn a go ?
It's worth it for striding edge.

Hi cameron on this ocassion walking was out of the question
my sciatica is playing up again so walking was out of the question just now.

So this was a photography only trip i went to the Aria Force waterfalls for some shots but to put you in the picture the place looked like argyle street on christmas eve so photo opertunities were well out. so it was up the road to keswick a quick bag of chips and straight back up the road im sticking to arran and glen coe for the time being i think:D

That's really pretty. When it loaded the first thought that came into my head was "postcard".

Nice shot, I love that bridge, and also lucky as I always seem to get the right sun condition, as you say best early morning.

I like Helvellyn, but also a wimp. Always go from Thirlmere side, steeper, but with my luck I would fall off striding edge.

Great shot and I love the seetings you use for the frame, if you use Mikes Framer and don't mind someone using a similar setup could you PM me the text file you use for those settings or some of the basic specs.
