So I was messing around tonight with manually holding the lens away from the camera (without mounting it), and after about 2 hours I was happy with this shot. This was a single exposure, the bokeh was not stitched, this is insane for just the kit lens! Anyway, heres the pic. C&C always welcome :)

Unmounted lens? o.O Never heard of that sort of thing, but nice shot! Composition and b&w conversion looks good.

I see you have a set of macro rings, the cheaper ones that don't have the actual connectors (I have the same ones).. It's pretty hard to get a good picture by doing that as I know you have to do the same with those rings. Good shot.

i've seen this a couple times before, it's known as "freelensing" it's actually a pretty cool idea, 'cause you can do tilt/shift effects with regular lenses, though it's easier with primes. Regardless, nice post and composition. I like.

hey try reversing the lenses in the same manner. I did that and filled the frame with a single keyboard key....not perfect ; but fairly sharp. Back in my film days I made a reversal ring w/the bayonet mount for the FD lenses...really worked nicely.Always push the limits .......Alonzo

That is really cool, man. I liked it enough to use it as my wallpaper for the time being. :)
