According to an email I received from Canon, if you received a copy of Photoshop Elements with your camera, you can upgrade to the full version of CS2 for $299.
Here (http://store.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml?id=catCanon&affiliateID=59949&sourcecode=74114) is the link to the Adobe page.

Yes, all you need is a valid serial number from PSE2 that came with your camera. I waited until CS2 was released and then upgraded. Close call because I almost gave away the copy of PSE2 that came my 20D because I already had PSE3.

It was a pretty good offer, and I took advantage of it. Now I'm waiting for my extra RAM to arrive from Dell  (512MB doesn't cut it with CS2)

If your camera didn't come with PSE, or you gave it away, it's possible (being a little careful), to get an old copy of PS on eBay - make sure you read their wording very carefully, to make sure you're not simply getting a 'backup' of the media - you can normally find a listing which states that the product is genuine. Then you can upgrade to CS2 for $150.
