Hey everyone. I recently got a 7D, and I am finding my Transcend 16GB card to just not be enough. I have no idea how fast it is, but it doesn't even come close to keeping up with the 7D.
I am looking for a memory card that is 32 or 64GB, and fast enough for the 7D (At least 45MB/s). Can anyone recommend some to me? The cheaper the better -- looking to spend around $150 on a card.

I only use Lexar Pros, I don't know why, have had good luck with them. Anyway, I just saw this which fits into your budget if you consider the cost per:

I purchased one of these (http://www.king-cart.com/cgi-bin/cart.cgi?store=dvnation&product_name=Photofast+533X+Plus+Compact+Flash+16G B+Card&exact_match=exact) from Ebay. You can't beat the price with that performance.
Here is the Ebay link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260556991958&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_654wt_1165) to the seller I purchased from. It's 148 with free shipping, but it will take about a good 10 days to get to you since it's shipping from China.
Here is one of the reviews (http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/content_page.asp?cid=7-10043-10255) I read on the card, doing a few comparisons.
edit: I didn't see that you wanted a 32 or 64. The card I purchased was a 16 for $148. But I do recommend you give it a look.

I ran through about 1400 frames on the 7D and another 900 on the 5D2 in about a week with SanDisk Extreme IV cards, including some fairly tight bursts, without hitting the buffer limits.

Transcend has new 400x and 600x Compact Flash cards that are also very competitively priced. You should be able to pick up a 32GB Transcend 400x Compact Flash card from B&H for about $120 shipped.

I have a photofast 16GB 533x (non plus version, 40MB/s or something) which is pretty good. I don't shoot burst that much but it's kept up pretty well, haven't noticed any slowdowns. The plus versions are rated at 80MB/s (or so). No complains for the price point.

Memory capacity has nothing to do with it, transfer rate is judged by class rating, you need a class 6 or better for the video and RAW buffer portion.
Some manufacturers use the speed rating like 4X or 16X which confuses things.

The class spec only refers to SD/SDHC/SDXC cards, class representing the minimum sustained "transfer" speed. CF cards are rated via 80X/133X/233X/300X/etc... and/or given specific read/write speeds.
I don't think anyone was referring to memory capacity vs speed although I've heard smaller cards are slightly faster (correct me if I'm wrong).

I ordered the Transcend 16GB CF card for my 7D. I have had several transcend cards before and never had any issues with them whatsoever. I also bought a Transcend Multimedia card reader cuz for some reason the one I already have doesnt read SDHC and some CF cards.

I’m using Lexar 16Gb UDMA 600x card in combo with a Lexar UDMA firewire 800 reader with my new 7D and my MacBook Pro. I’ve got no complaints other than I don’t like the camera info maxing out at 999 on me. I shoot burst a fair bit and the card clears the camera pretty quickly.

I want that card reader, but I don't have FW800 port. I'm waiting for the USB 3.0 version to come out!
