HI, I'm looking to get a tripod for my G-10, My question is, are all tripods compatible or do I need to get a certain one. Also looking for something not so expensive.
Thanks , Ken.

The G10 is a light piece, so you should be able to get away with just about anything. With my G11 I use a no name lightweight that I bought at a garage sale for $5.00, and still thought I paid too much. It has a simple, small ball head and is super easy to carry around.

+1. Basically anything will do for a lightish camera. Just take care to not leave it unattended (aka keep an eye/hand out incase the wind decides to pick up).

Most of the tripod heads will work. Take a look at the tripod socket on the bottom of your G10. It requires a tripod head with a 1/4-20 screw which is the most commonly available type. The larger-sized head would have an 3/8 screw that would not fit the tripod socket of your G10, and they are use mostly for larger setups like huge video or large format cameras.
