I cant get my raw files to open in CS

I shoot a 20D. I have photoshop CS. whenever I try to open a RAW CR2 photo in CS I get a pop up window that says...

"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document"

I thought that I'm suppose to be able work with raw files in CS. WhY would I get that popup? It opens all my jpegs just fine.

I think you need to get the most recent update to Camera Raw--one that supports the 20D.

Download the lates version of the ACR plug in from Adobe's website and install it in the plug ins folder and remove or rename the old one.

Hi

Right click on the file then choose "Open With" then select choose program , find PS in the list and select it and check the little box down the bottom to always use this program with these files .
