Magic Dirt @ Adelaide Big Day Out 2010

Following the death of founding member/bass player Dean Turner, Magic Dirt committed to their schedule and toured the Big Day Out in his honor. A show for the fans and (more probably) their farewell tour - the band acknowledging not even they know their future.

It's a sad thing to have to say goodbye to one of Australia's best, however what better way to do it with a 40 minute set chock full of their hits. The crowd lapped it up, right the way to the end, showing their support via raised glasses in Dean Turners honor.

I got a little choked up while shooting, tears hindering the third song, to the point where I pointed my camera at the ground and just watched them play. It was incredible to see such emotion on stage coming through their music. I certainly felt it.
