I'm thinking of buying a Canon 350D (UK). My current camera ia a Canon EOS1000NI have a Sigma APO 135-400mm lens. Will this work on the 350D.

Depending on how old it is, it may need to be rechipped by Sigma.

Don't take rechipping too much for granted though, as I've a Sigma 28-200 that can't be.
By far the best course is to try out your lens - both on manual and auto settings - on the camera before you buy it.

My old 75-300APO would not work with my 300D but then it was 13 yrs old!! It was a good excuse to get a new lens!

for your information:
my Sigma 135-400 do not work with the EOS 350D and not with the EOS 1D MKII. Works with the EOS 1D. Will ship the lens to Sigma for a update. It seems that some older Sigma lenses do not work with E-TTL II cameras.

The 135-400mm, as indicated by Helmus,.. is one of the hit or miss lenses. It is an older design that dates back quite a number of years..
There are lenses that Sigma will no longer re-chip or can't re-chip.. so you really won't know till you try.
