This filter drives me nuts. I use a lens spray and lens wipes. The Filter constantly has streaks and blurs everywhere. I am pretty particular about the cleanliness of my equipment and this is crazy.
BTW: My B+W UV MRC filter cleans just fine

Hi.
Ditto for me. Next to impossible to get it spotless. had a disaster when I tried to use water and washing up liquid, as it left smears and water holds in the rim. Eventually I just used windowlene clear spray. This filter MC also gets damaged easily, so take care.

No problems I've noticed. I use a LensPen usually. Or moist lens tissue or a microfiber cloth.

Mine is a bit of a challenge. But as Jon mentioned, I use a lens pen as well. That works. You just have to be a little patient with it sometimes.
EDIT: And now I realize that this was a 30 month old original post. Hopefully he figured it out! ;)

Huh, do any of you find the kaesemann version any easier/difficult?

A Kaesemann should be no different...it merely has sealed edges to prevent moisture infiltrating the filter elements due to high humidity environments.

Troublesome, but I try not to obsess.

You might consider denatured alcohol. It works wonders and doesn't hurt the multicoating. The best method is to wet a lens tissue with a few drops and clean the glass. Dry off with a new sheet of lens tissue.

Use Formula MC and lens tissue. Cleans everything, including "tough Hoya filters" with no issue. I've been using this stuff for 20+ years.
