A few jets from Holloman AFB Airshow

Hi y'all,

Here are two taken during an airshow at Holloman AFB. There a bit noisy because my dumb self forgot to take the ISO off of 800 from the night before. Ah the joys of tequila-head! Anyway, hope you enjoy! Equipment is a 350D with a 100-400L (rented!). Click for the flickr pages.

Love the reflection of the ground in the canopy in this one. Probably should have cropped it tighter...

Nice shots. The reflection almost makes #2 look "alien." And it's always nice to see a Phantom lead a four-ship in.

I woulda loved to have seen the 1st shot in person. So cool! I think a tighter crop on 2 might be good. Try it out, see if you like it. If not you can always ctrl-z it.

Thanks for the C&C and the forum welcome. :) I really appreciate you taking the time to reply. It was a great airshow - these were taken during the third X-prize event out there.

We definitely want to buy the lens! Really enjoyed shooting with it. Just don't have the fund$ yet. :)

Yup, it's retired. These photos were taken in 2007. Sorry about the old content but I just found photography-on-the.net a few days ago.
